The snow-clad from Himalaya which is in the form of the frozen lake called Chadar trek. Chadar means bail of ice, Ice flex use to change in slush by cutting into pieces. Heavily snowfall cutting villages all from one another for a month at a time. Zanskar River is a winter trail located eastern zone of Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir. It’s a frozen river which connects Zanskar valley to Ladakh, it takes the place on the trade route that has been used by indigenous people for centuries. It’s one of the thrilled and adventurous treks in India and Chadar Trek package is worth taking. The Chadar trek is basically performed on a frozen river called Zanskar which means Zanks (Copper) & skar states for the Valley, it means valley of copper. During the summer it did not disappoint enthusiastic tourist for river rafting & beautiful view for photography. The thrilling walk on the frozen River makes challenging for trekkers. 30-35 degree Celsius can increase the trouble for trekkers but an average trekker can cover 15-18 km in a day out of 105 km trek. Though treks in India are well known but Jammu and Kashmir trekking has so much to offer and this ultimate Trekking in Jammu and Kashmir: Chadar Trek is one amogst them which gives you the wonderful experience and Chadar Trek best time is winter months of January and February are the best for trekking on the Frozen Zanskar River. Typically, mid-January to end-February is when most groups carry out trekking in the Chadar Trek if you are travelling to leh and wooried about the accommodation than you should'nt because there are many hotels in leh.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

In case of trek cancellation due to any natural hazard or any other reason (like rain, strike etc.) Trekveda will undertake the whole responsibility of the amount as per its refund policy. Trekveda will provide its clients with a voucher which can be redeemed for any trek in the next one year.

While making a cancellation request, kindly brief the reason in the mail. Cancellation charges will vary as per the request period, which is as follows

Prior cancellation 40 days from the start of the trek is 90% refundable.
Cancellation between 40 to 20 days from the start of the trek is 45% refundable.
Cancellation between 20 to 10 days from the start of the trek is 10% refundable.
Cancellation within 10 days from the start of the trek is non-refundable.
Please Note: In case of refund, there will be a deduction of 4% (bank charges) from the total fee you have paid. Also, if you have opted for a trek insurance, the amount will not be refunded. In the process of refunding the amount, it may take 15 working days to credit on your bank account.

Note:

Change of trek batch is dependent on the availability of seats in the batch.
In case of transferring a trek to a friend, he/she should satisfy all the mandatory requirements put forward by Trekveda.
Trekveda holds the right to change/cancel the policies, without prior notice.
The cancelation policy will be same whether you are canceling your trek just after booking the trek.
